There is much spiritual truth contained in the feasts and sabbaths of the Old Testament. They are full of symbolic meanings. The timing of these feasts also have spiritual meaning. However, none of these feasts and sabbaths are to be kept today. This is because all of these symbolic actions are fulfilled in Jesus Christ. The Feast of Firstfruits is no exception. In fact, this feast is symbolic for the resurrection of Jesus Christ. He is the first fruit of all of God’s people who will be resurrected. Jesus Christ is the Firstborn from the dead. He was offered unto God and given to His people as the Word of God. As the sheaf that is waved, He is the tithe of the tithes. Click on the link below to view a YouTube video on this topic.
