The Last Day

 

  • And this is the Father’s will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day. (Joh 6:39)
  • And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day. (Joh 6:40)
  • No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day. (Joh 6:44)
  • Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.

Day of the Lord

Zechariah:

  • Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, and thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee. (Zechariah 14:1)

Malachi:

  • Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD (Mal 4:5)

New Testament:

  • The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come (Acts 2:20)
  • For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. (1 Thess 5:2)
  • But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. (2 Peter 3:10)

 

Day of Christ

 

  • That ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ (Philippians 1:10)
  • Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain. (Phil 2:16)
  • That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. (2 Thess 2:2)

 

Day of the Lord Jesus

 

To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.  (1 Cor 5:5)

As also ye have acknowledged us in part, that we are your rejoicing, even as ye also are ours in the day of the Lord Jesus.  (2 Cor 1:14)

 

The Day of God

 

  • Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? (2 Pet 3:12)
  • For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty. (Rev 16:14)

 

His Day

 

  • These are the feasts of the LORD, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, to offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD, a burnt offering, and a meat offering, a sacrifice, and drink offerings, every thing upon his day (Lev 23:37)
  • Turn from him, that he may rest, till he shall accomplish, as an hireling, his day. (Job 14:6)
  • They that come after him shall be astonied at his day, as they that went before were affrighted. (Job 18:20)
  • The Lord shall laugh at him: for he seeth that his day is coming. (Psa 37:13)
  • For as the lightning, that lighteneth out of the one part under heaven, shineth unto the other part under heaven; so shall also the Son of man be in his day. (Luke 17:24)

 

Day of Judgment

 

  • Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth. (Jer 23:5)
  • In those days, and at that time, will I cause the Branch of righteousness to grow up unto David; and he shall execute judgment and righteousness in the land. (Jer 33:15)
  • Yet will I bring again the captivity of Moab in the latter days, saith the LORD. Thus far is the judgment of Moab. (Jer 48:47)
  • Therefore, behold, the days come, that I will do judgment upon the graven images of Babylon: and her whole land shall be confounded, and all her slain shall fall in the midst of her. (Jer 51:47)
  • Wherefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will do judgment upon her graven images: and through all her land the wounded shall groan. (Jer 51:52)
  • Until the Ancient of days came, and judgment was given to the saints of the most High; and the time came that the saints possessed the kingdom. (Dan 7:22)

Day of Wrath, Anger and Vengeance

 

Wrath:

  • The increase of his house shall depart, and his goods shall flow away in the day of his wrath. (Job 20:28)
  • That the wicked is reserved to the day of destruction? they shall be brought forth to the day of wrath. (Job 21:30)
  • The Lord at thy right hand shall strike through kings in the day of his wrath. (Psalms 110:5)
  • Riches profit not in the day of wrath: but righteousness delivereth from death. (Proverbs 11:4)
  • Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it. (Isa 13:9)
  • Therefore I will shake the heavens, and the earth shall remove out of her place, in the wrath of the LORD of hosts, and in the day of his fierce anger. (Isa 13:13)
  • The time is come, the day draweth near: let not the buyer rejoice, nor the seller mourn: for wrath is upon all the multitude thereof. (Eze 7:12)
  • They shall cast their silver in the streets, and their gold shall be removed: their silver and their gold shall not be able to deliver them in the day of the wrath of the LORD: they shall not satisfy their souls, neither fill their bowels: because it is the stumblingblock of their iniquity.   • Then my anger shall be kindled against them in that day, and I will forsake them, and I will hide my face from them, and they shall be devoured, and many evils and troubles shall befall them; so that they will say in that day, Are not these evils come upon us, because our God is not among us? (Deut 31:17)
  • Because they have done that which was evil in my sight, and have provoked me to anger, since the day their fathers came forth out of Egypt, even unto this day. (2 Kings 21:15)

Vengeance:

  • To me belongeth vengeance, and recompence; their foot shall slide in due time: for the day of their calamity is at hand, and the things that shall come upon them make haste. (Deut 32:35)
  • For jealousy is the rage of a man: therefore he will not spare in the day of vengeance. (Pro 6:34)
  • For it is the day of the LORD’S vengeance, and the year of recompences for the controversy of Zion. (Isa 34:8)
  • To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn (Isa 61:2)
  • For the day of vengeance is in mine heart, and the year of my redeemed is come. (Isa 63:4)

The Great Day

That Day (Old Testament)

 

  • Then my anger shall be kindled against them in that day, and I will forsake them, and I will hide my face from them, and they shall be devoured, and many evils and troubles shall befall them; so that they will say in that day, Are not these evils come upon us, because our God is not among us? (Deut 31:17)
  • And I will surely hide my face in that day for all the evils which they shall have wrought, in that they are turned unto other gods. (Deut 31:18)
  • The lofty looks of man shall be humbled, and the haughtiness of men shall be bowed down, and the LORD alone shall be exalted in that day. (Isa 2:11)

  • And it came to pass, that when the gates of Jerusalem began to be dark before the sabbath, I commanded that the gates should be shut, and charged that they should not be opened till after the sabbath: and some of my servants set I at the gates, that there should no burden be brought in on the sabbath day. Day of Gloom

 

  • A day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness, as the morning spread upon the mountains: a great people and a strong; there hath not been ever the like, neither shall be any more after it, even to the years of many generations. (Joel 2:2)
  • That day is a day of wrath, a day of trouble and distress, a day of wasteness and desolation, a day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness (Zeph 1:15)

 

Day of Clouds

 

  • And the LORD went before them by day in a pillar of a cloud, to lead them the way; and by night in a pillar of fire, to give them light; to go by day and night (Exo 13:21)
  • He took not away the pillar of the cloud by day, nor the pillar of fire by night, from before the people. (Exo 13:22)
  • And it came to pass on the third day in the morning, that there were thunders and lightnings, and a thick cloud upon the mount, and the voice of the trumpet exceeding loud; so that all the people that was in the camp trembled. (Exo 19:16)
  • And the glory of the LORD abode upon mount Sinai, and the cloud covered it six days: and the seventh day he called unto Moses out of the midst of the cloud. (Exo 24:16)
  • And Moses went into the midst of the cloud, and gat him up into the mount: and Moses was in the mount forty days and forty nights. (Exo 24:18)
  • But if the cloud were not taken up, then they journeyed not till the day that it was taken up. (Exo 40:37)
  • For the cloud of the LORD was upon the tabernacle by day, and fire was on it by night, in the sight of all the house of Israel, throughout all their journeys. (Exo 40:38)

Day of Whirlwind

 

  • But I will kindle a fire in the wall of Rabbah, and it shall devour the palaces thereof, with shouting in the day of battle, with a tempest in the day of the whirlwind (Amos 1:14)

Day of Astonishment

 

  • And it shall come to pass at that day, saith the LORD, that the heart of the king shall perish, and the heart of the princes; and the priests shall be astonished, and the prophets shall wonder. (Jer 4:9)
  • To wit, Jerusalem, and the cities of Judah, and the kings thereof, and the princes thereof, to make them a desolation, an astonishment, an hissing, and a curse; as it is this day (Jer 25:18)
  • So that the LORD could no longer bear, because of the evil of your doings, and because of the abominations which ye have committed; therefore is your land a desolation, and an astonishment, and a curse, without an inhabitant, as at this day. (Jer 44:22)
  • Then I came to them of the captivity at Telabib, that dwelt by the river of Chebar, and I sat where they sat, and remained there astonished among them seven days. (Eze 3:15)
  • And I Daniel fainted, and was sick certain days; afterward I rose up, and did the king’s business; and I was astonished at the vision, but none understood it. (Dan 8:27)

Day of Visitation

 

  • And what will ye do in the day of visitation, and in the desolation which shall come from far? to whom will ye flee for help? and where will ye leave your glory? (Isa 10:3)
  • Also her hired men are in the midst of her like fatted bullocks; for they also are turned back, and are fled away together: they did not stand, because the day of their calamity was come upon them, and the time of their visitation. (Jer 46:21)
  • Slay all her bullocks; let them go down to the slaughter: woe unto them! for their day is come, the time of their visitation. (Jer 50:27)
  • The days of visitation are come, the days of recompence are come; Israel shall know it: the prophet is a fool, the spiritual man is mad, for the multitude of thine iniquity, and the great hatred. (Hosea 9:7)
  • The best of them is as a brier: the most upright is sharper than a thorn hedge: the day of thy watchmen and thy visitation cometh; now shall be their perplexity. (Mic 7:4)

Day of Sacrifice

 

  • And the LORD shall be known to Egypt, and the Egyptians shall know the LORD in that day, and shall do sacrifice and oblation; yea, they shall vow a vow unto the LORD, and perform it. (Isa 19:21)
  • For this is the day of the Lord GOD of hosts, a day of vengeance, that he may avenge him of his adversaries: and the sword shall devour, and it shall be satiate and made drunk with their blood: for the Lord GOD of hosts hath a sacrifice in the north country by the river Euphrates. (Jer 46:10)
  • Hold thy peace at the presence of the Lord GOD: for the day of the LORD is at hand: for the LORD hath prepared a sacrifice, he hath bid his guests. (Zeph 1:7)
  • And it shall come to pass in the day of the LORD’S sacrifice, that I will punish the princes, and the king’s children, and all such as are clothed with strange apparel. (Zeph 1:8)

Day of Salvation

 

  • And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever. (Exodus 14:13)
  • And Saul said, There shall not a man be put to death this day: for to day the LORD hath wrought salvation in Israel. (1 Samuel 11:13)
