The Parable of the persistent widow and the unjust judge portrays the life of a Christian. This parable teaches in part that God’s people must be patience in worldly trials. Most church teachers limit the meaning of this parable to the need for prayer. But, there is much more to learn in this parable. In this parable, the unjust judge represents the judgment of the world, including a lack of passion for righteousness. This parable also underscores that there is a righteous Judge. His coming will be soon. God’s elect people must always be focused on the hope of Christ’s return on the Last Day when righteousness will prevail.
