At the birth of Jesus Christ, a multitude of angels appeared to the shepherd. They praised God and gave Him glory: And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men. (Luk 2:13-14) The church often teaches this Bible passage around the Christmas season. Often, churches do not accurately teach the truth about this passage. They often refer to peace in the world in a physical sense. However, the Bible teaches that peace only comes through the salvation that God gives His people. Additionally, they usually teach that ‘good will toward men’ means that people will be nice and friendly to each other around the Christmas season. This is false teaching. Good will refers to God’s salvation. In particular, it is the saving grace of God given to His chosen people. Click on the link below to view a YouTube video on this topic.
