Jesus performed many miracles. Some of them are recorded in the Gospels in the Bible. These miracles (signs) are amazing actions that validated Jesus Christ as God. Moreover, these ‘signs’ indicate that the miracles contain a much greater spiritual truth. An example of this is when Jesus healed a man with a withered hand. This was done on the Sabbath Day. The healing was miraculous. But, there is also a symbolic meaning of this healing. The hand represents the will of a person. The healing of the hand is a type of salvation in that the person’s will is healed. No one can be saved by there own withered will. It is only by the will of God that a person is saved.
