Jesus performed many miracles. Some of them are recorded in the Gospels in the Bible. These miracles (signs) are amazing actions that validated Jesus Christ as God. Moreover, these ‘signs’ indicate that the miracles contain a much greater spiritual truth. An example of this is when Jesus healed a lame man at the Pool of Bethesda. All aspects of this miracle have spiritual meaning. These include the spiritual meanings of the pool of water near the sheep gate, Bethesda, five porches, troubling of the water, the lame man and more. And, of course, this occurred on the Sabbath Day.
