After the birth of Jesus Christ, a terrible thing occurred. King Herod decided to kill all the children of Bethlehem. He tried to ensure that the recently born ‘King of the Jews’ would be killed. At the time King Herod was considered as the King of the Jews. Joseph, Mary and the infant Jesus had already fled to Egypt so King Herod’s attempt to kill Jesus was not successful.
